Yesterday she cried

Heart hopeless and filled with whys

Lost and not sure where to turn

This pain felt like a bad burn

A sting, deep inside that wouldn't go away

On her, the burden laid

Yesterday she cried

Hoping tomorrow will bring clear skies 

She needed a way out of this monsoon

Her life needed a different tune

She's praying to forget yesterday

And why she started crying in the first place.
