It's Time to Embrace the Shift
It’s been a minute, but I just wanted to drop a short message for you all.
Now I don’t know if any of you watch Greenleaf, but it’s one of my favorite shows. On the latest episode, Lady Mae did a sermon discussing “A New Me”. Let me just say this resonated with me for so many reasons and inspired this post.
I turned 30 this month and let me be honest, I already feel different. I don’t feel as easily bothered by things. I feel like things that once mattered, dont. There’s no weight to many situations that use to bother me.
I have also lost 3 uncles in 4 months. Insane right?!
Last but not least, let’s consider all the changes we’ve endured due to the pandemic. Considering I’ve been personally effected by COVID, it has been a life changer.
I said all this to say “a new me” is where I am and I’m okay with that. I’m at a stage of rebranding and shifting. My blog direction will be changing and some things in my personal life.
But what I want the message here to be is that after this pandemic, we all will be new. If you haven’t felt it or are denying the shift, it’s inevitable. We’ve had so much down time and time to connect with what and who really matters. Who you are now is not who were last year.
Embrace that change. Many times we go through changes and we’re ashamed or want to revert to our old ways. I’m here to tell you that it’s time to walk in your purpose. It’s time to be okay with what you let go. It’s time to be with the shift you are experiencing. It’s time to be okay with not wanting to do the things you used to. It’s time to be okay with cutting ties with those who don’t serve you. It’s time to be okay with wanting to reconcile and fix broken connections.
A new you is waiting on you to stop standing in the way.
I worked hard to get here. I’m ready to embrace my new self, are you?
Whatever you’re feeling lead to do, whatever purpose you need to fulfill. The time is now.
